I read a lot and since I often like to save passages, I used to spend a lot of time writing them down or typing while I was reading. This app saves me a huge amount of time and effort, even with pleasure reading. Since the update, the text recognition is extremely good and I rarely have to fix the passages. Lighting is key. Being able to export it to Evernote afterwards and organize it by book is just amazing. Thanks so much!

Email and password. For what?!? To use a highlighter?!? I could see if I tried app and like it and then linked up Dropbox,etc..Then ok..Not going to even try app!! Deleting ASAP!!!

But it is specifically for *reading things*. Thats a pretty big miss (hint: things are easier to read on the iPad vs iPhone)

I keep trying to use it, and scanning, but it wont work. Them the camera screen is all black. Its a bit annoying. I could write the quotes, and what not myself in the amount of time I spend trying to make the app work.

Great concept but it doesnt work on a 5s ios 8. Camera did load, when use an album photo highlighter was too sloppy.

Is a very smart app.

I want to say this is a good freaking app, but I have thoughts may you guys can work on. 1) add Microsoft one note. I see the option for drop box and Evernote,but no one note and that makes me sad, because I use it. 2) it takes about three or four times before the text actually works, but when it works its great. 3) is there a way to actually drag my notes so I can place them in the order I please?????? Besides this I must say this is awesome for school and I like where you guys are going with this! Good luck!

This app amazingly transcribes even difficult philosophical syntax with ease. I occasionally have to add in a space or correct a letter, but the OCR is great! A few things that would prompt me to upgrade from 4 stars to 5 would be the ability to reference 2 pages when the quote splits across 2. Also, it doesnt have an easy share mechanism for Facebook, etc. Otherwise, I find this to be a well constructed app that is making research so much easier.

Great app for taking notes and storing quotes to find later. The OCR is the best Ive found in a free iPhone app, it looks up the book via author or title, and has built in support for EverNote!

I wasted an inordinate amount of time looking through OCR apps and trying to develop a manual system of getting notes out of printed text and into Evernote. And then I discovered this app which does just what I need absolutely beautifully. Its worked seamlessly and flawlessly for me and has done a fantastic job of extracting the text from the pictures and makes it very easy to assign page numbers, notes and tags to my highlights that then get sent to Evernote. Thanks for the awesome product!

Was gonna buy the scanning pen ($90) but this app only costs me ($5) and do the exact same thing that I want from the pen! Crazy!

Had to get this for my daughter for school. Works really well, especially with Evernote.

I paid the $4.99 hoping it would help me with research and not have to mark up the books but the app just doesnt work. After highlighting the sections and saving it just says "processing..." Where it stays "processing" for eternity. 12 hours later still processing. Enjoy my $4.99, what a con...

SO USEFUL. Perfect for the student who wants to take obsessive notes, but just doesnt have the time. Note: I was having problems getting my pictures turn into notes, so I emailed support and they fixed it ridiculously quickly.

Great ap, the OCR accuracy is terrific.

Ive looked for a decent highlighter and up in this is it! Especially as my memory has been harder to access as I age and life stressors, I find that I take more notes from what I read and this is the perfect app for that. Although it still has some small glitches towards the very end of the highlighted sections Im sure with time it will get better.

I read mostly ebooks, but this app is perfect for gathering and organizing my highlights from my paper books! Highly recommend this to anyone who likes to annotate and highlight what they read!

Ive been using this to takes quotations and notes for my thesis work and its been great! Its a little hard to get used to, since it has some quirks. You have to make sure the page is flat when you go to capture the picture or else the words will all jumble. And when youre choosing what to highlight, make sure you go a little below what you want, or else it will cut off wrong. Once I figured out the best way to use it, its been very accurate with translation to text. Highly recommend.

This app is the type of thing I dreamed about as a schoolkid in the 70s/80s. I hope the developer is inspired to keep working on it, and it pays off for him.
